PRIME-TIME TV SHOW CASTING CALL

The Missing Tree (Xiang Si Shu, in Chinese) is looking for production crew and cast.

BACKGROUND:
The 25-episode television drama show will be aired on CCTV channel prime-time in 2007.  China Central Television (CCTV) is the largest national TV network in China.

DIRECTOR:
The director of The Missing Tree is Zhou Sun, who has produced and directed Zhou Yu's Train and Breaking the Silence, with both films featuring actress Li Gong.  Li Gong has been in films such as Miami Vice (2006), Memoirs of a Geisha (2005), Eros (2004), 2046 (2004) and many others.

CAST:
African American actor and actress, 2-3 persons
Caucasian actor and actress, 2-3 persons
Asian actor and actress, 1-2 persons

CREW:
Assistant Director, spoken mandarin and English preferred
Set Design/Decorator, spoken mandarin and English preferred
Production Assistants, no previous film and TV experience required, spoken mandarin and English preferred

COMPENSATION:
The crew and cast (with lines) will be compensated with a daily rate, but does not include hotel, transportation or travel.  The production is scheduled in March 2007 in NYC, approximately 1-6 days.  Crew and cast will be asked to sign a non-union contract.

我寄了申請信給中國中央電視台的相關人員，接受了電話訪談，如果沒有意外，可以在三月參加幕後製作的工作。因為沒有拍片經驗，所以應該只能當production assistant（production crew裡最小的職位）。我這一兩天真是自顧自的高興，等了好久，終於能做一件和所學相關的事。雖然這職位小到一個不行，又不能幫我換H1B Visa，我還是很珍惜、很高興。
